Ledent Design Solutions was founded by Philippe Ledent in February 2025 to support all stakeholders of the masonry industry. Philippe graduated with bachelor and master of science in civil engineering degrees from LTU before starting work as a design engineer in Lansing, MI. Through that company, he eventually would go on to serve as the discipline leader for structural engineering where he was the engineer in responsible charge on projects throughout the Midwest. After that experience, Philippe took a position as the executive director of the Masonry Institute of Michigan where he assisted architects and engineers on masonry projects, and had the opportunity to teach structural masonry design at universities in Michigan and Ohio. He is the current secretary for TMS 402/602 Building Code Requirements and Specification for Masonry Structures and serves on the Board of Directors where he has been involved with TMS since 2012. Philippe has been published in STRUCTURE magazine, and has presented on structural design of masonry at the NCSEA Structural Engineering Summit and at various state structural engineering associations.

Ledent Design Solutions was specifically created to assist with the economical design of masonry structures through delegated design and design assist project delivery methods.
